AIM Staff and Work Environment
AIM staff are motivated, competent, and committed. We care
passionately about discipleship. Staff are encouraged to disciple
others and to themselves be discipled. We believe that an
important part of ministry is to "taste and see that
God is good"; we want to engage young people in ministry,
enabling them to experience the power and compassion of our
Lord. We believe that work and life should be fun. Pursuing
a call to ministry is a difficult thing - it involves sacrifice.
But our staff likes to laugh; we enjoy one another and we
enjoy the process of serving God as we reach out to the world.
To that end, our leaders seek to empower and serve our staff.
AIM has attracted a diverse staff. We have full-time, part-time
and volunteer staff members. All full-time staff members raise
their financial support and view their work with AIM as ministry.
Staff members range in educational background from high school
graduates to those who have graduated from seminary or hold
secular advanced degrees. We have extensive experience in
the worlds of business and ministry. We bring a wide range
of skills, gifts, and viewpoints to the organization. We live
all over the country. We are unified by our commitment to
each other and our desire to embrace the Great Commission.
AIM's Ethos
- We're not joggers, we're runners.
- We're team-based. Team relationships are very important.
People skills and communication skills are therefore essential.
- We're prayer-oriented. Things stop so that we can pray.
- We're faith-oriented. We constantly ask, "Where is
the God-room in this endeavor? Is this something I could
have done on my own, or is God necessary to pull it off?"
- We take personal responsibility for things within our
control. We don't play the blame game. If you see a problem,
don't study it, fix it.
- We help everyone to understand the big picture and see
how they fit into it.
- We expect everyone to look for opportunities to improve
the way we do things all the time.
- We always listen to the customer. We don't make excuses
for problems.
- We extend grace to one another.
